Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: We will pick you up early in the morning in Adelaide and drive through the Clare Valley wine district where we visit some local wineries and sample some of the wines. Then we will travel onwards to the lower Flinders Ranges. Here we will stop for lunch in a small Outback town. We drive further into the Flinders visiting sacred Aboriginal Sights, stopping at Wilpena Pound for the evening.
Day 2: Today we will walk through the beautiful and spiritual Wilpena Pound. There is the option of a climb to the stunning peaks depending on the fitness level of the group. Late in the afternoon we drive through magnificent gorges to the township of Blinman, an early mining town, where we will visit some old mines.
Day 3: An early start will take us across the Eastern Flinders to Mt Chambers and Chambers Gorge. This is a significant historical and religious site for the Adnymathna people. Amazing rock etchings dating back thousands of years can be seen. From here we head north past Lake Frome to the Aboriginal Community of Iga Warta.
Day 4: This day is spent with the Adnaymathna people in their land. We learn their believes and take part in cultural activities whilst visiting important sites. Songs around a glowing campfire are a highlight that never will be forgotten. We will taste Kangaroo and Damper cooked in coals.
Day 5: Today we travel to the Gammon Ranges following the ancient stories of the Natives. This journey is breathtaking along amazing gorges and stunning geographical scenery. We return to Iga Warta for the evening.
Day 6: Today we head south travelling along the Western Flinders following the path of Akurra the serpent. We will stop at some amazing gorges and have lunch at a beautiful Outback Pub. Slowly we wind our way to a small railway town for the evening with a few drinks with the locals.
Day 7: Well it is back to Adelaide today but not before seeing some amazing out of the way places such as Mambray Creek or Alligator Gorge.
